Retails sales in Finland up by 4.6% in October

Both the value and volume of retail trade sales have increased during the first ten months of the year.

Retail trade sales in Finland increased by 4.6% in October 2012 compared to October 2011, according to Statistics Finland’s retail trade flash estimate. The volume of retail trade sales also grew by 0.7% in October.

The value of retail sales has increased by 4.8% during the period January – October 2013 compared to the same period one year ago. The volume of retail trade sales is also up by 1.1% during the same period.

The retail trade flash estimate is based on a sample covering, on the average, 50% of retail trade turnover. Data on trade sales by industry will next be released on 13 December 2012.
