Helsinki-Vantaa chosen as world’s best airport for connections

The British magazine Monocle has selected Helsinki-Vantaa airport as the world’s best transit airport in its December-January issue.

In particular, Monocle praises the airport for “its human scale of the airport, its outstanding wayfinding, sensible shopping and good network of destinations”. Monocle also named Helsinki-Vantaa Airport as the best airport in 2009.

Helsinki-Vantaa has also received recognition from other sources. In 2010 it was chosen as the best airport in Northern Europe in the authoritative Skytrax survey, and in 2009 its baggage delivery was selected as the best in the world.
