Global distribution deal for Finnish pirate game Raven’s Cry

American company Topware Interactive will publish the pirate adventure game created the by Finnish action game developer Octane Games.

Octane Games, an action game developer based in Kotka, Finland, has signed a global distribution deal for its game Raven’s Cry with the American company Topware Interactive. This makes Octane Games the first Finnish video game developer, whose original concept game will be published globally on all the major gaming platforms.

According to Octane Games, Raven’s Cry is a dark pirate adventure rather than the romanticized and humourous portrayal of pirate life commonly used movie plots. Raven’s Cry will offer three different styles of gameplay, from 3rd person adventure, to helming a full-fledged pirate ship into battle, or navigating your way through the harsh waters on the world map.

Octane Games was established in spring 2011 and is launching its first game Wasteland Angel this summer with the Canadian game publisher Meridian4.Octane Games is a subsidiary of the Finnish game Nitro Games Oy, also based in Kotka.
