Foreign business trips by Finnish residents increased in 2010

Latest travel statistics show that both work and leisure travel by Finnish residents have recovered to pre-recession levels.

Domestic leisure trips within Finland that included paid accommodation increased by 13% in 2010 compared to the year before. The most popular regions for trips including accommodation were Uusimaa, Lapland and Pirkanmaa.

The popularity of leisure cruise trips increased by 15% in 2010 compared to the year before, with Sweden and Estonia being the most popular destinations.
