Cleantech Finland is active in many social media channels

Cleantech Finland’s website www.solved.fi links Finnish cleantech expertise to global demand.

Cleantech Finland, a national program that supports the growth of Finnish companies in the environmental technology sector, is actively using social media to reach experts and decision-makers in the cleantech sector around the world. Active in more than ten social channels, Cleantech Finland already has 12,000 Facebooks fans and 2000 Twitter followers.

 

Cleantech Finland also has 5,000 followers on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Thanks to its presence on Weibo, Cleantech Finland has attracted many contacts from China regarding waste management, water technology and biofuels, among other issues.

 

Solved.fi serves the cleantech community

 

Cleantech Finland is also developing its solved.fi website which aims to build a global cleantech community and links Finnish cleantech expertise to global demand. Solved.fi compiles information about the latest information about the cleantech sector and its companies. The website also provides a forum for experts to discuss topical issues in the cleantech field. The website is in English, Chinese and Russian.

 

The turnover of the Finnish cleantech sector was about about EUR 20.1 billion in 2011. Finland has about 2,000 cleantech companies which employ about 50,000 people in Finland. The sector’s annual growth rate was 10.6 per cent from 2010 to 2011.

 

The Cleantech Finland brand is owned by the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK. Marketing and communications activities are handled by Finpro.
