Tatarstan to establish technology centre in Lahti, Finland

Tatarstan will conduct product development and research work at the Lahti Science and Business Park, especially in the areas of new materials and instrumentation.

“As Tatarstan launches the technology center in Lahti, we will be opening our own mission in Kazan,” says Lauri Ylöstalo, CEO of Lahti Science and Business Park. “Through the technology centre we will not only deepen the collaboration between Tatarstan and Lahti, but also between the whole of Russia and Finland, especially in the environment and energy sectors.”

In September it was announced that the Chinese city of Wuxi will also be founding an innovation center in Lahti. “With these centers, the position that the city of Lahti has as an international cleantech centre will be further fortified,” says Jyrki Myllyvirta, the Mayor of Lahti.
