Record month for AirBaltic in Finland

The number of passengers carried by the Latvian airline has increased rapidly.

The Latvian airline AirBaltic reports that July 2010 was the company’s best ever month since it started operating in Finland. The airline carried more than 43,000 passengers in July, compared to 19,000 in July 2009. The number of AirBaltic’s passengers has increased by about a third as the company has doubled its capacity since last year. During the period January-July 2010, AirBaltic’s passenger volume increased by more than a fifth and the number of flights by more than a quarter.
