Nordlett Outlet Village looking for more brands

Finland’s first outlet village aims to have 30-40 stores by the end of 2013.

Nordlett, the first outlet village in Finland and northern Scandinavia, is planned to open in 2013-2014 near the city of Oulu in northern Finland. The site of the outlet village is next to an ABC service station owned where more than two million car-driving customers are already stopping in the same location.

Nordlett is currently looking for more brands and entrepreneurs to join the project. Nordlett has 41 outlet sales spaces ranging from 42 - 484 square metres, a kids’ playground area of 810 square metres, and 3-5 restaurant spaces in a food court.

According to Nordlett, it will invest heavily in co-marketing to cover half of Finland, Northern Sweden, Northern Norway and Russia, offering significant visibility for brand and products. Chief Nordlett Officer Tuija Postari-Kivistö is expecting to Russian visitors to form a significant customer segment.

Nordlett is also looking to harness the highly developed ICT expertise in the Oulu area and aims to provide a platform for anyone wanting to develop new applications for shops and shopping centers or to serve tourists better.
