Nokia and IBM are latest partners to join World Design Capital Helsinki 2012

World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 offers a platform for international networking and brand-building, for enhancing design competence and for social engagement.

Corporate partners in World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 include Blue1, BMW, Fortum, Helsinki Airport, HOK-Elanto, IBM, KONE, Martela, MTV MEDIA, Nokia, Sanoma Magazines Finland, UPM, Viking Line, Clear Channel, Deloitte, Fjord, hasan&partners, Iittala, Lapin Kulta, Paulig, and STOCKMANN.

The World Design Capital also has strategic partnerships with Aalto University, the University of Helsinki and the Institute of Design at Lahti University of Applied Sciences. These partnerships will ensure that the World Design Capital is widely recognised in the academic world and that its long-term objectives can be fulfilled in research, joint projects and educational curricula. There are also smaller-scale agreements with other schools.
