At the end of November, 100 of the world’s most promising technology companies will be chosen from among the finalists. Among this year’s finalists thre are Relaxbirth, Epicrystals, HyperIn, Kiosked, Miradore, Modz, Ovelin, Senseg and Thinglink from Finland.
“Being included on the list of the world’s most innovative technology companies shows that we are on the right path and are doing the right things. Relaxbirth is a social innovation that is in demand by changing the birthing culture and practices we can fundamentally improve birth well-being”, says Relaxbirth’s CEO, Jukka-Pekka Luostarinen.
The Relaxbirth system that was developed by the company includes, for example, a birthing support device with additional equipment and related training services.
More entrepreneurs striving to the top
Alex Vieux, Chairman of Red Herring, praises the ability of technology companies to overcome the prevailing difficult economic situation.
“An unprecedented number of entrepreneurs are striving to rise to the top and stand out among the competition. We are seeing more breakthroughs than ever before”, says Vieux.
The competition is organised annually by the US-based Red Herring magazine. In its selections, it pays attention to criteria such as the innovativeness of companies’ technological solutions, as well as companies’ business strategies and leadership.
Companies selected to the list are invited to present their operations at the Red Herring Global forum in Los Angeles between 27 and 29 November, where the Top 100 winners will be announced.
