The objective of Timber Bros Oy is to develop into a major actor in the design of massive wood structures in Finland. The Woodpolis environment provides an excellent location for strengthening design know-how and cooperation with companies in the sector.
The founders of the company believe that there will be a substantial increase in demand for energy efficient construction and design know-how for wood structures. A clear sign of this is the increasing interest in using wood structures in the construction of apartment buildings in Europe and Finland.
Woodpolis generates and shares research information from universities and other research units with companies for use in their product development and production. Woodpolis cooperates with the Aalto University PRA-cluster, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Kainuu Vocational College, Finnish Wood Research Oy and 24 cooperation companies.
