According to chief administrative physician Lasse Lehtonen, doctors can see ten patients per day with the current data system whereas before they could see as many as 14 patients. The new system should create more time for care work and cut the costs of the data system.
The Finnish company Tieto is participating in the tender with a new version Effica software. A partnership between Logica and the Danish company Cerner is expected to offer the American Millennium system. Accenture is partnering with Epic and Digia is cooperating with Cerner. It is likely that HP, Intersystem and Siemens will also participate in the tender.
