Kesko Group's sales increased by 7.4 % during November

Kesko’s car and machinery sales up by 32.3%.

Sales of the Kesko Group, a major Finnish retailer, increased by 7.4% to a total of EUR 822.4 million during November, according to the company’s latest stock exchange release. Kesko operates in the food, home and speciality goods, building and home improvement, and car and machinery trades.

According to Kesko, its food trade sales in November were EUR 363.3 million, an increase of 9.2% compared to the previous year. Sales in the K-food store chains were up by 9.4%. The sales of Kesko’s own brand Pirkka products in K-food stores increased by 18.3%.

In the home and speciality goods trade, Kesko’s sales in November were EUR 143.9 million, a decrease of 3.1% compared to the previous year. The sales of K-citymarket's home and speciality goods, as well as Asko and Sotka, increased. In the building and home improvement trade, sales in November were EUR 230.8 million, an increase of 3.7%.

In the car and machinery trade, sales in November were EUR 98.4 million, an increase of 32.3%. VV-Auto's sales in November were EUR 77.5 million, up by 38.3%. Konekesko's sales in November were EUR 21.1 million, a 15.1% year-on-year increase.
