Finnish marketing communication companies expect growth in 2011

Marketing campaigns using traditional media are expected to increase significantly

The latest MTL-Barometer,a regular quarterly survey commissioned by MTL, the Finnish Association of Marketing Communication Agencies, forecasts 5.5% growth for the sector in 2011.

Traditional media is showing the biggest growth prospects in Finland, with marketing communication companies reporting their highest demand expectations for newspapers, outdoor and radio campaigns. Demand expectations for Internet, mobile and social media campaigns have not increased but remain at a high level.

Three quarters of the marketing communication company directors who responded to the survey said they expect sales to increase in the next six months. As many as 99% of expert service companies believed the outlook for their business would improve this year or remain the same.

The survey was sent to the CEOs of the largest 404 marketing communication companies in Finland in December 2010. The MTL-Barometer is produced by Think If Laboratories for MTL.
