Technical trade sales in Finland totalled EUR 7.7 billion in Finland in 2010, representing a 16% increase on the year before. During the final quarter of 2010 the growth rate was about 30% compared to the same period one year earlier.
According to Markku Uitto, managing director of the Association of Finnish Technical Traders, the economic recovery may lead to a shortage of components in Finland because deliveries are directed to the largest markets.
The Association of Finnish Technical Traders has 400 member companies and three association members, cover 85 % of the technical trade in Finland. The typical products sold by the companies are investment goods, raw materials, industrial components and industrial supplies.
