Finland’s retail trade sales grew by 6.5% in February

Total trade sales have increased by 12.2% during the first two months of 2011, with car sales growing by 32.2%.

Retail trade sales in Finland increased by 6.5% in February 2011 compared to February 2010, according to Statistics Finland. The volume of sales also grew by 3.7% during the same time period. Wholesale trade sales went up by 6.9% and motor vehicle sales by an impressive 41.7%. In total, trade sales increased by 10.3% in February.

In January to February 2011, Finland’s retail trade sales rose by 6.0% and the wholesale trade sales by 11.6%, compared to the same period one year ago. Motor vehicle sales increased by 32.2%. In total, trade sales in January to February increased by 12.2% from the previous year.
