According to Karri Ackalin, Nordic Sales Leader at GE Healthcare, the company’s growth prospects are good because in more than 90% of European hospitals acute care is still documented and planned on paper. According to GE, clinical information systems improve the security of patient data.

GE’s market share in Finland of patient information systems in Finland is about 80% in intensive care, about 50% in surgical care and about 50% in anesthesia. In Finland the market has been about EUR 2-3 million in recent years, while the European market is worth some EUR 60 million.
