Confidence in Finland’s services and retail sectors remains above EU average

Sales growth expected to continue in the services and retail sectors, according to the confidence indicators published by the Confederation of Finnish Industries.

Construction confidence lost a few points in July due to weaker personnel expectations, but the confidence indicator is slightly above its long-term average of -5. Order books stayed stable in July but their level is somewhat below normal.

Confidence in Finnish manufacturing decreased slightly in July, caused by more moderate production expectations. The confidence indicator fell to 0 points (revised figure +5 in June), while the long-term average is +3. Production growth is expected to slow down during late summer and early autumn. Order books are slightly below normal. However, stocks of final products decreased slightly.
