The Swedish hardware chain Clas Ohlson is launching an online store in Finland and also opening fivenew stores around the country. In September Clas Ohlson will open a new store at the Veturi Shopping Centre in Kouvola, followed in October by new stores at the Willa Shopping Centre in Hyvinkää and the Matkus Shopping area in Kuopio.
Clas Ohlson has also signed a contract regarding a new store at the Shopping Centre Skanssi in Turku, which is scheduled to open in October. The retail space will amount to a total of 963 square metres and the store’s catchment area comprises approximately 180,000 residents. Spring 2013 will see another store opening at the Spar Centre Shopping area in Mariehamn, the major city of the Åland islands.
In the financial year 2012-2013 Clas Ohlson is aiming to have a total of 177 stores in Europe of which 27 will be located in Finland. Clas Ohlson's product range includes home, multimedia, electrical, leisure, and hardware items.
