Capgemini Group, the international provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has established a local IT and engineering services division in Finland. Sogeti Finland was launched on 15 February with a staff of 35 software testing experts and the company expects to hire about 100 additional testing experts over the next three years. Software testing aims to avoid or substantially reduce software bugs and so bring lower costs, higher quality and more timely delivery.
Software testing is one of the key focus areas within the Capgemini Group globally. The aim of entering the Finnish market is to expand the company’s overall market share in testing services. The testing market is growing fast and will be worth more than USD 11.2 billion by the year 2013, according to estimates by the analyst group NelsonHall.
The chief executive officer of Sogeti Finland is Mikko Misukka, who previously served as development director for Capgemini Finland. “We expect to have a very strong start for Sogeti Finland as the existing close client relations and Capgemini’s strong reputation in testing provide us with a strong foundation for growth. We are eager to grow our already strong team by recruiting Finland’s best and brightest talent in the testing field over the coming years,” said Misukka.
