Biltema is opening new department stores in Finland

The Swedish retail chain is expanding in Finland with new stores in Kuopio, Espoo and Seinäjoki.

The Swedish retail chain Biltema, which specialises in tools, car supplies and leisure products, is opening a 4000 square metre store at the Levänen retail park being constructed in Kuopio, eastern Finland. Biltema is constructing ten new major department stores in the Nordic countries in 2011 that also include stores in the Finnish cities of Espoo and Seinäjoki, in addition to Kuopio. The company is also planning other projects in Finland in 2012.

Biltema’s new department store in Kuopio will open in May 2011. Levänen retail park, located to the south of Kuopio, is being built by NCC and is planned to offer products for the home, interior decoration and leisure, as well as activities and services for families and children.
