Wholesale of electrical materials grows fast in Finland

 Finland’s growing construction sector boosts sales for electrical wholesalers.

The wholesale of electrical materials in Finland increased by 7.4% during the second quarter of 2010 compared to the same period a year ago. Total sales amounted to EUR 404 million in the period January - July 2010.

New construction is recovering in Finland which is expected to provide a further boost to sales, according to Tarja Haikikari, managing director of the Finnish Electrical Wholesalers´ Federation (SSTL). She also predicts that the trend towards more energy efficient construction will require more comprehensive and highly developed electrification in Finland.

SSTL is the federation of electrical wholesalers, manufacturers and importers who sell their products through wholesalers.
