Low fare airlines open new routes to Finland

Air Wizz, Ryanair and Air Berlin are starting new scheduled flights from Finland to Budapest, Riga, Edinburgh and Berlin.

Flying from Finland to the European capitals is easier and offers more choice than ever as several airlines are set to open new routes in 2010. Wizz Air, the largest low fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, is opening new routes from Turku to the Hungarian capital Budapest and to the Latvian capital Riga, starting on 28 March 2010.Ryanair, Europe’s first and largest low fare airline, is opening a route from Tampere to Edinburgh in Scotland. Ryanair is also starting operations from the Lappeenranta airport in eastern Finland, after flying solely from Tampere for several years.Finally, Air Berlin, the second largest airline in Germany, is starting a second daily flight between Helsinki and Tegel airport in Berlin, from Mondays to Fridays.
