OECD forecasts growth for Finland after a difficult year.
OECD’s latest forecast expects the Finnish economy to grow by 0.4% in 2010 and by 2.4% in 2011. Finnish exports are estimated to grow by 3.7% in 2010 and significantly more in 2011 as the global economy recovers from the recession. According to the OECD forecast, Finalnd’s private consumption will be grow slightly in 2010 and by almost 2% in 2011.
OECD’s forecast for the Finnish economy in 2009 is quite bleak. Finnish exports of industrial goods have suffered greatly due to the global recession, resulting in negative growth for the whole economy and rising unemployment.
