Finnish companies reach final of the Red Herring Global 100

Nine Finnish companies are among the finalists of the Red Herring Global Top 100 tech startups, after being selected from thousands of emerging technology companies around the world by the California-based technology magazine.
The Finnish companies that have reached the final are 7 signal, Aito Technologies, Ball-it, Codenomicon, Confidex, Floobs, Hammerkit, Muxlim and Severa.
The winners for Red Herring Global 2008 will be announced in San Diego, United States, on 14-16 January 2009. The event will host 400 investors, entrepreneurs and corporate business development executives from around the world, making it great launch pad for emerging technologies.
Other technology companies that have featured in the ten-year history of the Red Herring awards, include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce and Youtube. According to Red Herring, industry executives, investors, and strategists value the Red Herring 100 lists as an instrument for discovering and advocating the most promising private ventures.
