Futurice topped the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 listing

29/10/2008

Futurice, a Finnish company providing Internet and mobile software services,  grew by 2885 % in the period 2003-2007.

Futurice, a provider of Internet and mobile software services, has topped the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 listing of the fastest growing technology companies in Finland.

In the period 2003-2007, Futurice grew by 2885%. “The strong annual growth rate of 50-100% we have enjoyed over many years is based, above all, on having the best people, our good work and growth through our customers,” says Tuomas Syrjänen, managing director of Futurice.

Futurice focuses on demanding client-specific Internet and mobile software projects, which require technical expertise, speed of delivery and end-to-end responsibility. Futurice provides electronic business solutions such as community and other Web services  supporting mobile applications. Based in Lauttasaari in Helsinki, Futurice currently employs 60 IT-experts.

“Futurice is part of a wider change on the IT market, where the new players are characterized by their agile processes, innovativeness and speed. This year’s Deloitte listing is a concrete example of this change as it includes other fast-growing, modern expert companies in addition to Futurice. In Finland many customers are looking to work with the new players. It seems that the big IT-houses are lacking the innovation know-how and cost-efficiency in new types of services that the customers are looking for. Evidence of this is the fact that many of the major projects which would previously have gone to the traditional players have found their way to us,” says Syrjänen.

Futurice continues to aim for strong growth in the future, both in Finland and internationally. “The growth will be based on our tried and tested recipe: combining cast-iron professionalism with listening to the needs of the customers and the users,” says Syrjänen.

Futurice’s estimated turnover for 2008 is EUR 5 million.
