The Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) and the Department of Computer Science of University of Helsinki will organize Pervasive 2010, the Eight International Conference on Pervasive Computing in Helsinki, Finland, in May 2010.
About 300 of the world’s top researchers will be presenting their latest results in all areas related to the architecture, design, implementation, application and evaluation of pervasive computing. Annual Pervasive conferences are the premier forums for researchers specializing in this field, which includes the development of everyday computing applications like electronic travel cards.
The themes of the conference will cover all aspects of pervasive computing, such as technologies and devices, interfaces and interaction modes, software aspects, tools, architectures and infrastructures, applications, evaluations and evaluation methods, as well as privacy, security, trust and social issues.
The conference is planned to include a day of parallel workshops, two and a half days of main programme presentations and a half day of tutorials.
HIIT is a joint research institution of the University of Technology and the University of Helsinki.
