According to the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation's 2008 ranking of the world's broadband internet connections Finland has the fastest broadband internet in Europe and is 3rd in the world after South Korea and Japan. The median download speed in Finland according to the study was 21,7 Mbps.

According to the study Finland also delivers with great price quality ratio, ranked 5th in the world. Household penetration in Finland is 61%, but with the introduction and booming sales of wireless broadband connetions even more people Finland are a click of the mouse away from high speed internet access.
