Timberjack, "slash log" bundling technology for logging residues Soapstone fireplaces and stoves are manufactured by Nunnauuni Oy and Tulikivi Oy. Firewood cutters and log splitters are manufactured by Bilke Oy, Laitilan Rautarakenne Oy, Maaselän Kone Oy and Nokka Tume Oy.

The recovery boiler manufacturers Andritz Oy and Kvaerner Pulping Oy also manufacture flue-gas scrubbers. Scrubbers are also manufactured by Ehox Tuote Oy. A common feature of Finnish gas-scrubber technology is efficient heat recovery, which provides a rapid return on the scrubber investment in the form of energy savings. Electrostatic precipitators and desulphurisation systems are manufactured by Alstom Finland Oy (and its contractors), which took over the business started by ABB last year.

Kvaerner Pulping Oy and Andritz Oy manufacture recovery boilers.

Solutions for circulating bed technology in gasification are developed and supplied by Foster Wheeler Energia Oy. Foster Wheeler Energia is also currently developing its first integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant based on the gasification and thermal purification of biomass, firing the gas in a gas turbine. The Kvaerner Group is currently developing black liquor gasification based on pressurised gasification (Chenrec combined heat and power process). Because of the strong corrosion caused by black liquor, the material choice has not yet been made.

Companies developing fluidised bed combustion in Finland include Foster Wheeler Energia Oy, Kvaerner Pulping Oy, Andritz Oy, Fortum Oy (BioMAC)

KWH Pipe and Uponor supply biogas recovery pipelines. There is a facility in Mustasaari, Vaasa, which combusts solid municipal waste applying Citec Oy's Waasa process. The Finnish company Skanska Tekra Oy is also building an anaerobic waste treatment facility designed for biogas production.
