Business services form a significant part of Finland’s national economy. Business services companies make up 13% of the whole private sector and employ 14% of the personnel in the private sector. Measured in terms of turnover, business services make up 8% of the national economy. Most of these companies offer technical services because Finland has many companies producing investment goods. On the other hand, there are few companies offering consulting services for company management, for example.

In Finland the majority of the companies offering business services are relatively small, apart from a few major international companies. Medium-sized business services companies are almost completely missing from Finland. Finland also has good opportunities in growth centres around the country, which have an excellent availability of well-trained personnel.
